The weather was beautiful.
The music was loud.
The food was delicious.
And the water in the dunk tank was wet. And cold. Very, very cold.
Our 3rd Annual Customer Appreciation BBQ on Thursday, June 18 was a big hit, and we want to thank everyone who took time from their busy days to stop by and say hello.
Over $360 raised for the Salvation Army
The highlight of the event was the charity dunk tank. A non-perishable food donation or a $2 donation resulted in 3 balls to throw at the dunk tank target.
We collected a giant box full of food. The dunk tank itself raised $182 – which Aim Lock & Safe has decided to match – for a total of $364 and a full box of non-perishables raised for the Salvation Army.
So, to everyone who donated – well done. Take a bow!
Speaking of that dunk tank…
Four brave Aim Lock & Safe team members and one volunteer sacrificed themselves as charity dunk tank targets in the following order: Vanessa Riley, Dave King, Alycya Nikolich, Ashley Hill and Sarah Nikolich.
Did they stay dry?
Nope. Not a chance.
Plenty of sharpshooters tried their luck at the dunk tank.
Sadly the charity dunk targets fell into the water. Over and over again.
Well, at least the weather was warm.
Because that water was c-c-c-oooold.
A big thanks to those volunteers for being such good sports.
We promise, they won’t have to do it again next year.
Maybe.
Grand prize draw
Everyone who attended was encouraged to submit their names into our grand prize draw for a Keyport Slide Keychain.
We had dozens of entries, and we’ll be notifying the winner shortly.
In the meantime, thanks to everyone who entered. And good luck!
Good food, good music, good people & good times
All during the event, there was an industrial-sized mobile grill cooking mouth watering hotdogs, sausages and hamburgers.
Plus we had cool ice cream, sweet cupcakes and refreshing drinks too.
And during the BBQ, CrazE Jay was spinning great music and making sure everyone was having a good time.
Of course, the success of the BBQ – and of Aim Lock & Safe – comes from you, our customers.
We really can’t thank you enough.
And we can’t wait until next year’s BBQ either!
